MDInform is a tool for researching publicly available medical literature. It is aimed at medical professionals and serves exclusively for information and research purposes.
2. No medical advice, no treatment decision
MDInform must not be used as a basis for diagnoses, therapies or treatment decisions. The platform replaces neither your own professional judgement nor medical duty of care. Every medical decision is the sole responsibility of the treating professional.
3. AI can make mistakes
Summaries and answers are generated with the help of artificial intelligence. AI systems can provide incomplete, outdated or incorrect information ("hallucinations"). Always verify important statements against the linked original source.
4. Worldwide AI providers and data transfer
For the AI functions (summaries, questions about articles), the contents of your request are transmitted to external AI providers. Their servers may be located in various countries — within the EU, in the USA and in China. Countries outside the EU may not offer an equivalent level of data protection.
Therefore do not enter any personal, patient-related or confidential information in AI requests. Use only publicly available article content. By using the AI functions you consent to this transfer (Art. 49 GDPR).
5. Third-party sources
The articles and metadata shown originate from external specialist databases. We assume no liability for their accuracy, completeness or timeliness.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use or unavailability of the information provided. Liability for intent and gross negligence, and for damage to life, body or health, remains unaffected.
